I saw Ringo recently, it was a blast.

He is in great shape. He has a great all star band (Colin Hay sounds so much better doing his Men At Work hits with a full band than in his solo concerts).

Ringo’s songs are not really special. Sorry, they just aren’t.

But the best part of the show for me was when Ringo played drums, which he does a lot, and cut loose

with the vocals on “Boys” and my big favorite “I Wanna Be Your Man”. To see him hammer away and sing brings back the best of memories.

I know he doesn’t want to do other Beatles songs that aren’t “him” and I get that.

But it would be fun to have him end the show with his drum solo featured on “The End” from The White Album. Instead we get snippets of the song from the band not his solo upfront.

But hey, it’s Ringo, he can do what hell he wants.

They aren’t making any more Beatles!
