I saw two movies back to back last week.

Killers of the Flower Moon was good but far from great.

Way too long. The book was better.

I’ve had it with DeNiro. His mannerisms have gotten old. His favorite tired trick is to repeat a line 10 times.

“You need to calm down. Calm down. Listen to me, listen to me calm down. Calm down.”

Leonardo plays a vapid cretin as a vapid cretin. He is too old for the role too.

Lily Gladstone is terrific. She should get an Oscar nomination. No one else should.

Some good scenes but not enough to make this special.

Anatomy of a Fall. A guy falls from a house. Was he pushed or did he commit suicide?

The movie take a deep dive (oops) with intelligence and nice scenes that move.

Maybe the best movie I’ve seen this year.
