Denny Laine died this week. He was best known for his work with Paul McCartney and Wings. I was never a huge Wings fan.

So when Laine came here to play locally a couple years back I was mostly interested in a different song.

When the Moody Blues formed they had a big hit with “Go Now”. Laine sang it and it is one of my all time favorites. I never tire of it.

But after that hit, the Moody Blues spun their wheels, Laine left, Justin Hayward came in and a whole new direction was taken. (I loved them too)

Go Now is so unlike anything the revised Moody Blues sang they never did it in concert.

So when Laine cut loose with Go Now at the Rialto Theater in Loveland, I got that rock and roll glow.

Time well spent.
