Saw a movie today, I.S.S.

Good premise. The space station is home to Americans and Russians. A nuclear war breaks out and both sides tell their people on the space station to wipe out the other side.

Unfortunately the camera was not my friend.

I get motion sickness. I can’t stand handheld cameras or cameras that whipsaw constantly. Found film movies are notoriously painful.

This one has a different twist. A camera replicates the motion of the space station for the whole movie. It never stops moving.

Now it wasn’t as bad as the shot changing whipsaw approach. Instead of needing to hand vomit I would describe it more as leaving me queasy.

While I’m sure not many people have my motion sickness problem, a lot of people must not enjoy constantly moving cameras. That’s why you don’t see many of these movies.

And I would like to never see them.
