Horizon is a nine hour mini series that doesn’t work well if you think of part one as a stand alone movie.

A marketing mistake.

The other bizarre lapse is in the editing. Costner whipsaws from one location to another with no warning and it quite disarming. And not professional.

Final bitch is the closing credits show us pieces from the final two parts as a preview. Not something you would do in a stand alone movie, only in a cable nine part series. Weird judgement and not appreciated.

The scenery is gorgeous. Some great scenes and characters. Action scenes are first rate.

I’m in for the final two parts but Costner should have listened to someone about packaging and editing. I suspect he listens to no one who disagrees.
