I never thought I would say this. The F word is being overused.

I can be profane and I certainly can use it. When my brothers and I would tease my mom about who she liked the best she would say “all the same”. No matter what category we picked, best athlete, favorite anything, it always came back “all the same.”

Then someone said who cusses the most. She started her “all the same” mantra but then hesitated and said, “well, I’m afraid it is Jack.”

You get he picture.

I notice it being used more and more and young people seem to be in love with it.

I reached my F point with an Oscar nominated movie called Anora.

The leading character uses it for every occasion. When she is happy. When she is sad. When she is eating, ordering food, giving someone a compliment. And often two and three times in the same sentence.

It loses all value.

I fall back on the adage to apply to F word I should have taken to heart long ago.

Less is more.
