We stay at the Barfield in Amarillo when we travel between Colorado and Texas. A nice hotel with a really cool bar where you have to pull out a rack on the cigarette machine to gain secret entrance.

We jumped out of our chairs when the final Yellowstone episodes aired and they used the bar in the Barfield for a scene with Beth and Rip, cigarette machine pull and all.

On our way home this week we went to the bar and plopped. After ordering I said “ok, I’ve got to ask, where did Beth sit. He said “your in it.”

A little later as my butt melded where Beth’s had been, something strange came over me and I called out to him “refill this drink, if you can drag that limp dick over here.”

Now I just made that up. Really. Even Beth couldn’t channel that kind of nastiness in me.

The bartender was nice. It wasn’t his fault they charged me $30 for a Buffalo Trace whiskey double, the same price as whole bottle.

Next time I will sit in Rip’s seat.
