Why not ask Moran?

The New York Times had the first interview with Terry Moran who cut loose on a lot of strong negative opinions about the Trump regime and has now parted ways with ABC.

I read the whole story. The two reporters never asked him if he thinks the traditional role of journalists to stay out of the story and not give away their personal leanings is gone.

I can only presume the reporters were sloppy or presume everyone knows the traditional role is dead.

I don’t ask this in a partisan way.

I do believe there is a place for journalism that remains curious, skeptical fact based and is not about the reporter and the story shouldn’t automatically reflect the reporters opinions.

That goes for journalists with opinions all across the political spectrum.

If you go back you will find this third person objective journalism model came in after journalists had become advocates for their side.

It gave the public a chance to believe the information they were getting was from a straight shooter and could be believed.

If we lose it, and we are losing it, I believe the public will suffer.
