It was over 25 years ago. I got off work to go vote in Overland Park, Kansas. The line was around the corner. I was tired and pissed and didn’t enjoy the experience.

The next year Kansas offered mail voting. when we moved to Colorado they did too. I have never looked back and never been back in the polling place.

I love getting the ballot by mail. I make the choices I already am decided on. Then I do some research, think it over, and finish the rest of the ballot. Over and out. It is a much more thoughtful way to vote than making snap decisions in a polling booth.

Mail voting is smart voting.

I can’t imagine doing it any other way.
