Four recent observations posted on X but compiled here:

This old guy would have loved to see Metallica do the Super Bowl halftime show in San Francisco, their home turf.

It would have been a real rip to hear them tear into Enter Sandman.

Grump two: After reading more endless descriptions of bad behavior on social media videos attributed to “Karen”, I had to simply post “I know someone named Karen who is really nice.”

Grump three: I am a huge fan of Law and Order. Only the original show, I don’t watch any of the branch offs. I was happy to see a new round of shows after a long hiatus. Oh boy. Horrible writing, humorless, just a big mess. Do I miss the days of Jerry Orbach.

Grump four: I really like women’s basketball and I have been watching the WNBA. The rough play without a foul call is unbelievable. You can knock an opponent to the ground and get no foul call or if a foul is called, no upgrade to flagrant. I don’t understand what the league is aiming at, the flow of movement is just ruined with all the grabbing.
