A couple movie observations.

Primate is a very effective scary movie. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to hide their eyes when things get tense.

I watched Sinners again this week and enjoyed it again on first viewing since April.

I also shook my head when I read some condescending comments after it won a popularity award at the Golden Globes. As if there is something wrong with being the best movie that a wide range of people actually enjoyed and cared enough to go see.

While others will be praised for art value my guess is that Sinners will be watched and enjoyed in the upcoming years a lot more than “better” movies.

It deserves praise for that.
