Oscar nominations came out today and I was not surprised when a New York Times movie critic was appalled that F1 received one of the top 10 spots.

God forbid that a well made drama that was entertaining even if you don’t care about racing that was watched by a lot of people who paid for tickets to see it, squeak on to the best list.

I was reading today where Warren Beatty said a real test of a movie is if is still being watched and enjoyed 10 years after release.

Why do I think F1 (and my choice for best movie, Sinners), will pass that test.
