What the hell is it with blinding lights on vehicles these days?

I was on a city street the other night and when this monster truck pulled in behind me, the lights were so strong I had to shield my eyes with one hand while driving with the other.

And when driving on the Interstate you run into these incredible bright lights, usually on a vehicle they used to say was so big it could compensate for their penis size,

I’m sure it is too much to ask to have enforced limits on these overkill lights.

If I’m going to get drenched in light I would prefer being Richard Dreyfuss in Close Encounters when my vehicle is stopped.
