The Madison is painfully bad

I like all of Taylor Sheridan’s shows, some are ok, some are good, some are great.

With the advance publicity that Kurt Russell is starring in this new series I thought it would be a cinch.

God help us.

Don’t read a line further if you have any intention of watching this thing.

Ready.

Russell is knocked off halfway through the first episode, killed in a plane crash in Montana while his family stares at I phone during a nasty dinner gathering in New York. before they get the news.

As for content, it is about a bunch of spoiled rich New Yorkers coming to Montana.

Here is one example that tells it all for me.

Russell’s daughter is hit in the face and robbed on a busy midtown street in New York. No one helps, checks on her lying on the sidewalk, and just one guy who is filming it and could care less. Even in these days, I don’t believe it. When she tells two cops sitting in a car they ask for descriptions and she won’t say if he was black or white because that would be racist.

She tells her parents who scold her for daring to walk on the busy daytime streets instead of taking the family limo or uber. I don’t believe it and loathe that kind of rich snootiness. They tell Russell she was knocked down in the East Village. No way that scene was filmed in the East Village.

I made it almost through the first episode when the family sniffed around the cabin in Montana he owned and one finds an outhouse and another worries about bears.

Enough.
