I read the Scarpetta books and enjoyed them. My hope were guardedly high for the series starring Nicole Kidman.

We made it through half the first episode.

It starts out promising with Scarpetta trying to solve two murders years apart but instead it breaks into a soap opera with unpleasant family members and workers screaming at each other and acting ugly.

What a waste.
