Missing Rickman

Alan Rickman  is getting most attention on the news of his death for Harry Potter, understandably.

For me, his work as the villain in Die Hard was about as delicious as they come. He was a wonderful, unlikely bad guy.

Another example of Rickman’s skill was in an obscure movie called “Bottle Shock”.

He plays a wine snob who comes to Napa when it was unknown to see what the wine

tastes like, expecting crap. He finds some wonderful wines and set up a blind taste testing with the French that changed the wine world.

He plays the snob we learn to like perfectly.

I’ll miss him.
