One of my main pet peeves is when a sports columnist trips somebody when they leave the nest, but they would never do it if they were still in town.

There are hundreds of examples. Today in the Denver Post Mark Kiszla ripped Osweiler, saying the Broncos were better off without him.

If Osweiler had signed with the Broncos yesterday, would Kiszla write a column calling it a terrible mistake because Osweiler sucks?

Of course not.

Give me a columnist who doesn’t wait until somebody leaves town to light them up.

There aren’t many.
