If you need a break from superheroes, try Captain Fantastic.

On the other hand, if you really like superhero movies, you might not like it.

Captain Fantastic is an idea movie, a thought-provoking movie.

But it isn’t talky and pompous. It is a fast two hours.

A family lives off the grid, and then has to come to grips with the civilized world.

It is sometimes painful to watch, sometimes fun.

The ending was a little dicey but I loved seeing “extreme” people not idealized or demonized.

And it beats the shit out of “Batman and Superman clash with Antman and Spiderman, Part 43”.
