A zillion years ago I was a rookie sports editor for the Pittsburg Kansas Sun.

As a St. Louis boy, I was completely uninterested in the Chiefs Super Bowl

run while I was living there.

My loyalty was up for grabs when we moved to Kansas City some years later since there was no pro team in St. Louis, the Cardinals moving on to Phoenix.

So when we moved to Kansas City I became a big Chiefs fan. And I still am. It is an attachment that is approaching 30 years.

As the Chiefs prepare to play the Steelers Sunday, I would love to see our years of

frustration come to an end. I’d settle for just returning to the Super Bowl.
