We went to our first game at the new stadium Saturday.

I fully acknowledge I was an advocate of getting the hell out of Hughes from the time we arrived here 18 years ago. And I love campus football stadiums.

Here goes anyway:

Campus was alive. We walked all around, it was Ag Day and the open area west of Lory was bustling and fun. I even got to give the college president a thumbs up.

A really good jazz band was playing in the alumni center inside the stadium.

It was a really good day to see the advantages of playing on campus
