The Champions

After speed watching the Golden Globe Awards last night I realized I would drop a movie from the bottom of my top ten list and add Bohemian Rhapsody.

We were visiting relatives in St. Louis a few months ago and tried to see it at

a big fancy screen. Sold out. We then went to a nearby theater and watched it with

another big crowd.

Huge fun. The lead role was riveting. I was never a fan of Queen music so I originally wasn’t even sure about seeing the movie.

The final recreation of their performance at Live Aid was electric.

Yes, it is a bio movie with all the predictable twists and turns. And the toadie

who leads Freddie in the wrong direction is as predictable as he is a caricature.

But the movie never lags, the moments of music creation and fighting the music company are big fun.

I would watch it again in a minute, which means as much to me as the notion of forgiving a few flaws.

Radio Gaga. Over and out.
