When closing isn’t closing

There’s been a lot of good journalism during the virus crisis, but it can still be better.
The Denver Post strikes me as too much alarm, not enough info, too often.
Today’s page one headline trumpets the coming closing of restaurants.
What it buries even inside the story is that a number of restaurants are not closing, but are scrambling to up their game on carryout and even institute delivery in some cases.
The last thing we need is to put all the food providing on grocery stores, and the economic survival of our favorite restaurants is also a factor.
A story, with an appropriate headline, featuring a restaurant and all they are doing to keep clean and safe and provide takeout or delivery, would not only be accurate but helpful.
Little things add up when there is so much fear.
