Form and function

I love how companies change their websites when people are used to a current one and find it perfectly ok.
Example. Redbox.
I like to rent cheap movies and I find it easy to punch available movies and scroll through a list.
Today the crack new homepage has an endless scroll through available movies. You can’t stop it or go back, at least not as far as I could tell.
The old system was absolutely function fine. The new page has a beautiful form put together, with no thought to the user function.
To the people who make these decisions actually use the boxes to rent movies.
Uh huh.
