I A column in the Post Dispatch that this might be Mike Shannon’s last year in the radio booth. I responded:

I think he should broadcast as long as he wants to. He earned it. Write me off as an old fart who remembers Shannon from the very beginning, but I love the guy. And when I turn on my Sirius radio to listen to him from a 1000 miles away, it makes me smile. No young pup is worth that.
And one more thing. He still is capable of some one liners when a player screws up that others might be afraid to say.
As long as you want Mike, I’m there!
