Lord knows Covid sucks.

But I have to admit to taking advantage of one Covid reality.

I like to walk everyday and I don’t like to walk on the sidewalk dodging people, bikes and skateboards much less their dogs. It used get me looks sometimes when I would cross the street and dodge them.

You know where this is headed.

Covid allows me to cross the street and hit the bike lanes to not make contact with someone whose dog wants to sniff me or

someone with a double bed baby carriage strapped to their back with two dogs in tow behind them. Hey, I’m just being polite in dodging them.

When school is out of session I use the lot to find peace and quiet and no people.

It reminds me a little of the Larry David Curb Your Enthusiasm bit where he starting wearing MAGA hats

so people in Los Angeles will avoid him.

Now I will keep my Flower Power hat while I walk and I actually wave at familiar faces and friendly people.

As long as they aren’t too close.
