It’s the little things

Sometimes the most maddening parts of shoddy journalism are the little things that mean a lot.
Example today. The Denver Post had a bylined story about Air France beginning nonstop service between Denver and Paris. It mentioned the three days they will fly. It has Air France public relations people gurgling from what sounds like a press release.
What’s missing? How about when the plan takes off and arrives on both legs of the trip. An the time in the air.
These days you just go to the website and unravel it for yourself.
But if you are going to offer a story, why not include the basic things a reader would want to know?
