While out walking and listening to Sirius they played a Dylan classic “Stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis blues again.”

It reminded me of one of the best headlines I’ve ever read. And it came from one of my newspaper columns.

Mary and I were on one of our Missouri to New Orleans fun trips when the car broke down on an Interstate in Memphis. It is quite a story, but one to tell separately.

When we got home I wrote a column about the adventure.

At the time Joe Holleman, now a columnist at the St. Louis Post Dispatch, was working the copydesk at

our paper in Festus.

When I finished the column and it was published, I laughed out loud at Joe’s headline.
