Went to see a horror movie today, The Black Phone. Good movie.

It is set in Denver in the 70’s and it really did look like it, mountain backdrop and housing feel.

But as a flatlander journalist who came to visit in the 70’s on a regular basis, The very opening

scene had me shaking my head. The dad was propped up with his newspaper in the kitchen. And it read Rocky Mountain News.

All that is good. It was a two newspaper town then, The Denver Post and The Rocky Mountain News.

One problem. It was a broadsheet newspaper.

The Post was a broadsheet and the Rocky was a tabloid.

Couldn’t somebody have told them?
