I always try and see journalism movies. A new one is She Said She Said about the media takedown of that pig

Harvey Weinstein.

I like the depiction of how journalists work very much in this movie. The reporters are low key and know when to shut up and listen and wait. All the journalism codes are obeyed in the movie.

My only quibbles don’t have to do with the journalism as shown.

My understanding is that Ronan Farrow and the New Yorker had key roles in breaking the story.

Here the New York Times is the whole show and never ever do anything wrong.

The movie focuses tight on Weinstein and lets off the hook all the media, including the Times, and politicians who

helped make him so powerful and all that much harder to actually bring down.

I guess I’ll have to wait for the Ronan Farrow movie.
