Our family drove to California to stay with relatives every summer when I was growing up.

One year our relatives said a new place had opened selling tacos. Taco Bell provided our first tacos.

Somewhere along the line as Taco Bell grew and made it to Missouri, I used to order Bell Burgers. They were basically a sloppy joe and were tasty.

Time passed, they disappeared from the menu and I presumed forever since burgers are not their mission.

I even mentioned them recently for some reason and lo and behold, I see a story this week that a Bell Burger cult group is clamoring for them to be brought back.

Some things are better left to fond memories, although if the marketing gurus at Taco Bell decide to give them an encore, I’ll have to try it.
