I was on my annual spring training baseball trip to Jupiter, Florida, to see the Cardinals.

Jordan Walker was a promising rookie. We spotted his parents who we recognized from a previous interview up in the stands watching the game like the rest of us.

As the game was nearing an end we took off a little early and as I passed his parents I told them how I was rooting for their son and wished them all the best. They were gracious and very nice.

Flash forward to last night when Walker pulled off one of the most amazing clutch performances in the home run derby. A hostile crowd and he was as cool as a cucumber.

To watch him do it and to watch and hear his parents celebrate the victory was so sweet.
