Sinister is a good scary flick.

The movie takes time to let Ethan Hawke become a real character. The Super 8 films are absolutely chilling.

The movie even tries to make a major flaw in these movies, stupid characters slow to take action, somewhat more plausible.

Enough real scares and an ending that works ok make Sinister worth seeing.
