You go to the gym and jump on the treadmill. You pick a spot where it is empty or people are just working.

The next thing you know two people plop on the machines next to you and begin a loud, non-stop conversation. Even with my earphones it is irritating. I don’t want to

hear them at all and the I think the treadmill is not for socializing.

Someday I expect to have people show up after I start with croissants while they go

one mile an hour and have their morning chat.

My solution? A quiet zone in the gym. No talking, just work.
