A great year this year and Maty Mauk is one gutsy kid. But it is going to be painful to watch Lock redshirt and then sit on the bench the next two years while Mauk’s shortcomings cost us at times. A part of Pinkel’s considerable success is his extreme loyalty, but at times that stubborn quality hurts, when he simply won’t make a change or even take out a quarterback who is hurting.
