Moving on but be honest

Mo was not being honest when he said the August injury was the key to Holliday not being made an offer.
It was kind to not be blunt, but it wasn’t the truth. Holliday was not a good investment for the future and it was time to cut him loose. He did a lot of good things for the Cardinals, and he set an excellent example on hustle and team leadership. But he has real limitations, fielding, running, swing holes. It doesn’t diminish his contributions, it is just reality. Mo was using an excuse about the injury being the key to not being signed, but it isn’t the truth so it bothers me. Better to just be vague and kind.
