When those DVD releases come out on Tuesday on Redbox if you never heard of it, it is probably bad.

But I’ve found surprises over time and had one yesterday.

The movie is Back Roads.

To call it a dysfunctional family is the understatement of the year.

But as a somewhat thoughtful case study of what bad parents can start in a chain reaction of horror, it is watchable while terrifying.

Not for everyone though.

I must have mumbled “what the hell” a dozen times.
