When we moved to Colorado my buddy Bob and I would go on a fairly regular basis to Rockies games. I am Rockies neutral but I like baseball.

Larry Walker was the real deal.

He was so fluid and graceful in right field. He always got to the ball if it was possible and if he didn’t, his throwing was always perfect.

On the bases I never saw him thrown out and his judgement was right on.

And of course, at the plate, line drives just flew off his bat.

When my Cardinals got him at the end of his career I was pleased, and I would have loved to have had him in those younger years.

Congratulations to Walker for a hall of fame honor deserved.
