I am a big fan of Kevin Costner and I’ve watched all the episodes of his Yellowstone series, now in season two.

It is fun and grim and brutal and sometimes outrageous. It is good not great, sometimes a television soap opera, which isn’t bad. Watching Costner is always a pleasure and it has a strong cast.

I watched episode two of the second season last night and it was the best episode so far in the series.

The writing was superb and the acting was too. Almost every scene was actually poignant.

I know they are going to have to get back to more action and that’s ok, but you could see in this episode Costner, whose fingerprints are all over controlling the project, wanting to be more than a television soap opera, at least for a week.
