Least successful Reacher

The problem is it just isn’t as good as the previous Reacher books.
The storyline is not particularly intriguing.
The setups on planning how to handle bad guys and pondering his next move take way, way to long.
It actually becomes tedious and plodding at times, a sin for Reacher books.
It isn’t terrible. It just doesn’t measure up by comparison.
I actually thought the ending was good.
If we hadn’t known Child had taken on his brother, would we know the difference?
I think so. I think the previous comments would still be made and I would put it down as his least successful Reacher book.
And that doesn’t bode well for the future. Let’s hope the brother nails the next one. Edit Delete Comment Permalink
