This movie came from a terrific book. They say the movie was inspired by the book. Talk about playing loose with the facts! Inspired is about right. And as much as I wanted to really love this movie, the villains are laughable. The bad principal and bad football coach should have had long mustaches to twirl while they spouted and did evil things. This story deserved better and so did the cast. I still found moments effective emotion. i just wish there had been more and a better movie.

It was good. A little long, the musical scenes sometimes seemed stretch, but overall a pleasant experience.

Krasinski is something special as a director. He brings out the best in his characters and I look forward to where he goes next. Part two is just as good part one. The ending is an absolute setup for part three. And you know what? Good!

Old people delight. Ellen Burstyn is so good, and the cast is quite strong but she is off the charts. The story is slight but for the target audience, who cares!

Not the best of the Conjuring movies. The story line is a little muddled. But it has some really good scares and the leads characters are as good as always.
