Shauna Farnell did an amazingly good job of summing up things to do for people spending a weekend in Fort Collins in the travel section of the Denver Post Sunday. She really covered just about every right move for a visitor. She obviously gets Fort Collins.

Now everybody has an opinion on what are the best places to eat or to visit. (I think Bistro Nautile is an underappreciated gem for eating; the Trial Gardens at CSU are a gorgeous walk through in season).

And her claim that locals call it FoCo strikes me as arguable. I hear a lot more of “The Fort” than I do FoCo, which I never use.

But all that is quibble. It was nice to see such a smart, well done piece on The Fort.
