Patience and payoff

Two women were sitting in aisle seats right in front of me. The one directly in front of me put her seat all the way back from the time we boarded. I was irritated but kept quiet.

About that time I tried to put my Ipad in the flimsly net holder in front of me and it plunged to the floor. I couldn’t see where it went and got up to look.

The woman in the other aisle seat asked what was wrong, told me to sit down, and then got down on her hands and knees to find my Ipad imbedded in the floor beneath the seat of her friend the woman in front of me.

I thanked her profusely and realized patience, something I have in too short a supply, can sometimes lead me to big picture civility.

I proceeded to watch TopGun on my recovered Ipad and flew home in peace.
