Can I hear $20 bid for the omelette!

We all have our ways of measuring how bad inflation and pricing has become.
Some use how much they pay for a hamburger in a restaurant now.
My measuring stick is the omelette.
It wasn’t all that long ago that I could get my denver omelette with hash brown and toast for say $9.99.
This week one at a favorite place in Fort Collins I got my Denver omelette for $17. Now I admit the typical increase is usually up to
$13 or around that range.
I bought it and it came out like an omelette whale. It was very, very good and very, very big.
So big I took it home and had it again for dinner.
Hey, two meals, under $9 apiece.
But don’t get me started on the ice tea increase.
