Hokum, Hall and in between

Bits to match my attention span:
I would like to see all basketball announcers fired if after a play they say “he thought he was fouled.”
No shit. They always think it and they usually are but I’m not interested in a player point of view. A useless observation.
I‘m not into political interviews but I was fascinated while surfing one day to see Margaret Brennan with scads of papers laid out before her on her desk asking a question and clutching notes. I finally fled but she may still be asking the question.
I was always taught keep your questions short and direct. Good luck.
Hokum. A clever, fun scary movie. I really appreciated it. I love it when they paint outside the box and make it work.
Scrolling through available electronic books one day I took a flyer on Arsenio Hall’s autobiography. I was surprised at how much fun it was was, dishy, insightful, well written. I remember him but have no special feelings about him. The book gave me pleasure to find out more.
I had to laugh this week at the best example yet of how screwed up college athletics has becomes. A college athlete was complimenting their new team and said “this is my favorite team I have played for so far.”
Chew on that one.
