Don’t get me wrong.

The plane crash sequence in the “Flight” is riveting. I pushed up to the front of my seat.

And the acting is top-notch. Denzel will deserve his best actor nomination.

But the movie didn’t cut it overall for me.

It is really a look at a drug addict and how they are in denial. Seen it before. Not all that interested in wallowing in it again.

The climax is powerful but the “revelation” is Hollywood contrived.

Two and a half out of four stars. But close to three.
