By now everyone has weighed in on the Ted Lasso Kansas City opener.

I enjoyed the references and sights like most everyone else. I loved the Gates scene although I have to admit I did not like walking in and have them yell out “may I help you”, although it is better than being ignored.

If the state line confuses people they ought to try sorting out Shawnee Mission School District.

Sudeikis went to Shawnee Mission West high school.

There actually is no Shawnee Mission. There is a Shawnee and a Mission. There is no high school in Mission. And Jason’s high school is in Overland Park.

I could go on with the confusion but there are no Englishmen here to befuddle .

Let’s just leave it with the Missouri-Kansas mystery.
